How Maara works
From an unanswered call to a useful next step for your customer. Here is what happens, what you control, and what to prepare.
1. Try Maara with your business website
Choose Get a customised demo and enter your public business website. The demo flow uses website information to prepare a personalised voice assistant. Review the information it extracts: a website can be incomplete or out of date. A demo is a preview, not a live subscription or a replacement for onboarding.
2. Confirm the details callers need
During onboarding, supply services, approved prices, opening hours, locations, frequently asked questions and anything the assistant must not promise. Add booking, cancellation and escalation rules. Identify who should receive messages and summaries. Review the proposed plan and commercial terms before activation.
3. Connect your booking calendar
Where appointment booking is part of your setup, authorise the supported Google Calendar connection and confirm the calendar, timezone, appointment duration and availability rules. Maara uses the configured integration to check availability and create bookings. Keep other bookings and unavailable time up to date.
4. Set up forwarding from your existing number
Your phone provider controls forwarding. Configure unanswered-call forwarding to the Maara number supplied during setup, with your preferred supported ring delay. Provider instructions and charges vary. Test the forwarding route before relying on it and keep a fallback contact route.
5. Let Maara handle the conversation
The assistant answers using your approved information. It can help a caller with a supported appointment request or take a message where a booking or answer cannot be completed. It must not replace your team’s judgement on unusual, sensitive or urgent matters. Define those escalation instructions during setup.
6. Confirm and review the outcome
With the required integrations enabled, the service records the booking outcome and can send transactional confirmations and an owner summary. Delivery depends on provider status and correct contact details. Review results and follow up on messages, misunderstandings or incomplete requests.
7. Keep the setup accurate
Tell us when your services, prices, hours or policies change. Maintain calendar permissions, monitor outcomes and retest after significant changes. If you stop the service, remove call forwarding so calls return to your normal business handling.
What to have ready
Your business website, approved service and price information, opening hours, booking rules, an authorised calendar account, your telephone-provider details and the contacts who should receive notifications. You also need suitable caller privacy information and an agreed plan before launch.
